  1. Welcome to Father’s Day English/Cantonese/Mandarin Joint Service @ the sanctuary, the Gym and A8. Let’s show our appreciation to all the fathers!

After the children’s presentation during the joint worship service, all children will be heading back downstairs for a special JAM worship in B7. Parents and Guardians may come pick up their child(ren) in B7 after the joint worship service is finished.

  1. Wearing a mask inside the church is highly recommended. If you have any symptoms, please rest at home. The sermons will be uploaded to our YouTube channel on 2:30pm.

  4. 6.8 DB meeting excerpts:
  • The pastoral staff, deacons, and department chairs discussed the possible 2025 church organizational structure and personnel arrangement in the absence of a new senior pastor. They also reviewed the pastoral suggestions regarding how to enhance the P.G.M.B.C. of the church in 2025.
  • It was resolved that the church would pay for all the expenses incurred by the pastoral staff as they joined the new pastor’s orientation as required by the Mennonite Brethren Conference before their credentialing with our denomination. It is the strong desire of all four pastors who have just joined the orientation to finish their credentialing before the end of the year.
  • The personnel responsible for the Family Chat from June 21 to 23 were assigned:
    • Friday (Cantonese 730 – 9pm hybrid) – Pastor David as the facilitator with Rachel as secretary
    • Saturday (Cantonese 5 – 630pm, in person) – Pastor David as the facilitator with Oliver as secretary
    • Sunday (Cantonese 10 – 1115am in person) – Pastor Esmond as the facilitator with Rennie as secretary
    • Sunday (Mandarin 1130am – 1245pm in person) – Pastor David as the facilitator with Oliver as secretary
    • Sunday (English 1130am – 1245pm in person) – Pastor Bill as the facilitator with Vicki as secretary.
  • The request of holding the MBCCA annual training in the church on September 14 was granted. As a result, the deacon board meeting will move to another time.

  2. If you’re interested in being added to the church group mail list to receive the prayer letter, weekly bulletin, and other information, please complete the online form. No need to refill the form if you are already on the list.

  4. Staff news: David is preaching at Richmond Pacific Grace MB Church today; Pastor Jason will take no pay leave on 6/16 – 7/4.

  4. 2024 LightHouse Harbour Ministries: Next visit date is 7/11(Thu) 7-9:30pm. Ladies’ Group fellowship and other members will serve.
  5. 7/16-18(Wed-Fri) Short Term Mission Trip to Vancouver Island organized by CCM Small Town Mission. Pastor David and Pastor Audrey will lead Deacon Rennie, Rebecca and Ira to serve.
  6. Short Term Mission Trip to Mexico

The mission trip to Casa de Luz in Primo Tapia, Mexico, has been postponed. While there has been much interest expressed, more time was needed to get enough firm commitments. We will postpone the trip until in the new year. We will try to identify a prospective date with enough time for those interested in keeping the date open.   3. PGMBC breakfast returns on 6/30 (Sun. 9:30 -10 am) in the gym. A special thanks goes out to the Mandarin congregation for preparing. English worship will start at 10:15 am.
